We were very sorry to hear this morning about the passing of the director, John Irvin, who was 86.

The members of the production team we have spoken to have all acknowledged his inspiring leadership and unanimously praised his direction of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Our thoughts are with John's family and friends at this difficult time.
