Michael Jayston Remembers...

To accompany a repeat screening of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy on BBC4, a short interview with Michael Jayston has been filmed. It only runs for twelve minutes but it includes his recollections of making the series and working with Alec Guinness. He also provides an insight into Guinness's thoughts about some of his co-stars (including Ian Bannen and Beryl Reid) and talks briefly about his absence from Smiley's People.

It is lovely to see some new material produced to accompany the series. If you live in the UK you can view the interview on the BBC iPlayer here. The interview, along with the series, will be available to view on the iPlayer for 30 days.
